The second generation BMW 5-series was an evolution rather than revolution of its predecessor, the BMW e12. It was launched in 1981 and final cars were prooduced in 1988. It's angled front and square passenger cell gave the car a modernised look compared to the dated e12, and with sport models including the M535i and the M5, the e28 is now regarded as one of the greatest BMW 5-series' ever made. We may be biased because we own one.
Although this decal was not an OEM option or a BBS special edition release, it has been made with a period-correct aesthetic, featuring a simple series of gradiated lines that stretch along the length of the car. The BBS Motorsport logo appears on the rear section, a nod to its racing routes in races such as the Spa 24hr. This version features a black stripe which is the perfect vintage combination on red and lighter body colours.
